BECOME A VOLUNTEER COACH!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering as a coach for the Terreace Brier Soccer Club.  TBSC relies on volunteers like you for a successful program, and we appreciate all your support.

Coaching youth soccer is a great opportunity to help provide a fun and rewarding soccer experience for you and our young players.  Whether you volunteer as a head coach, an assistant coach or a team manager (parent orginizer), you can help create a positive environment that will foster a love of the game for the kids.

To register as a coach / volunteer, there is a multi-step process that includes:

1.  Register through our Bonzi registration system.

  • Follow the registration link below.  If you are a returning coach, please use your Bonzi member account from last season.  For all new coaches and volunteers, please create a new account.
  • Select the option to register as a coach / volunteer.  Please be sure to register for the correct category.  If you are volunteering for two positions, you will have to ensure you register for both.  For example, if you are going to be a head coach for boys U11 and an assistant coach for girls U8, you will need to register under each category.
  • The state risk management application (RMA) is incorporated into this registration and is forwarded to the state agency for processing.

Bonzi Registration

2.  Complete the Washington Youth Soccer volunteer RMA.

  • TBSC is a member club of Washington Youth Soccer, and all Washington Youth Soccer volunteers must register online to complete a national background check clearance.
  • Follow the registration link below and click the Registration tab in the upper right.  If you are a returning coach, please use your Affinity member account from last season.  Note, this is a separate account from your Bonzi account above.  For all new coaches and volunteers, please create a new account.

Complete WYSA RMA Here

Once you have completed both the Bonzi registration and the WYSA RMA, it will take a few days for the background checks to complete.  Once TBSC has received notice that you have been cleared, we will notify you and assign you to your team.  If you have any questions during this process, please email the TBSC Registrar.

We hope you enjoy a fun and rewarding experience!

Returning Coaches and Teams

COACHES EXPECTATIONS

Terrace Brier Soccer Club (TBSC) is a recreational soccer program under the rules of the Washington Youth Soccer (WYS). Under WYSA guidelines, it is possible to keep players together on the same team year-to-year, however, in order to maintain our recreational standing, the board must act in good faith to place new players on teams. If returning players are not registered by the team registration deadline, there is a risk that their position on the roster will be displaced by a new player.

June 15th is the deadline for registration.

The June 15 deadline is driven by season planning deadlines imposed by North County Youth Soccer Association (NCYSA). This deadline is not negotiable. Failure to register a team by the deadline may result in NCYSA or TBSC not scheduling the team for the upcoming season. There may be significant fines levied against the team and TBSC for late registration.

Following June 15, the soccer directors may start placing new players on teams.

Coaches: It is your responsibility to get your returning teams registered by June 15th. The online registration system will make player registration a quick and painless process. All returning player registration forms and payments can be processed in a single online transaction that should take less than ten minutes. (See New Player Registration for information about new players that want to be on your team).

While the online system will make registration quick and painless for most TBSC families, not everyone has access to a home or office computer. Here are some suggestions coaches and team managers can offer families without internet access:

  1. Local public libraries offer access to Internet-enabled computers. These computers can be used for registration using the Terrace Brier Soccer Club Website. www.terrace-brier.org

  2. Their kids may have access to internet enabled computers at their school. Parents may be able to arrange access through teachers or school officials.

  3. Arrange a time for families to use your computer to register. The registration process should take less than ten minutes.

  4. Contact TBSC Club Secretary or Registrar to arrange a time to use the TBSC office computer to register. (Note: The club will be organizing special office hours to support player registration, so watch the Web Site for information.)

New Player Registration:

New players will use the online registration system. However, WYSA rules require TBSC to collect a copy of the players certified birth certificate before making them eligible to play. New players will need to mail a copy of their birth certificate to TBSC before they are eligible to be placed on a team.

All new player registrations will be given a pending status until TBSC has received a copy of the players birth certificate. Once we have received a player's birth certificate, the player will be placed on a team. When possible, the soccer directors will honor player requests to be placed on a specific team or with friends.

Coach and Team Manager Registration:

Do not forget to register yourself and ensure your team parent and assistant coaches register as well.

Coaches, assistant coaches and team parents or team mangers are required to register every season. You can register using the online system. See registration information above.
