BECOME A VOLUNTEER COACH!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering as a coach for the Terrace Brier Soccer Club.  TBSC relies on volunteers like you for a successful program, and we appreciate all your support.

Coaching youth soccer is a great opportunity to help provide a fun and rewarding soccer experience for you and our young players.  Whether you volunteer as a head coach, an assistant coach or a team manager (parent organizer), you can help create a positive environment that will foster a love of the game for the kids.

There are a few steps involved to volunteer with TBSC.

1.   TBSC Registration via Stack Sports

2.   Volunteer Background Check and Required Training/Safety Certifications (detailed info)

3.   Upload certification certificates to your WA Youth Soccer Profile, under “Certificates” tab.  This is the same site as your background check. (WA Youth Soccer Affinity)

You can and should register witih TBSC (#1 above) before completing the certifications.  There is an organization code you need for one of the certifications which will be included in your registration confirmation email.

You cannot be confirmed until these are completed and cannot be assigned to a team until such time – which includes holding practices or other team/club activities.

Practice field requests will be granted once you are fully cleared and confirmed.

You will receive notification from the TBSC Registrar once you have been cleared.  If you have any questions during this process, please email the TBSC Registrar.

We hope you enjoy a fun and rewarding experience!

Returning Coaches and Teams

COACHES EXPECTATIONS

Terrace Brier Soccer Club (TBSC) is a recreational soccer program under the rules of the Washington Youth Soccer (WYS). Under WYSA guidelines, it is possible to keep players together on the same team year-to-year, however, in order to maintain our recreational standing, the board must act in good faith to place new players on teams. If returning players are not registered by the team registration deadline, there is a risk that their position on the roster will be displaced by a new player.

June 1st is the deadline for registration.

The June 1st deadline is driven by season planning deadlines imposed by North County Youth Soccer Association (NCYSA). This deadline is not negotiable. Failure to register a team by the deadline may result in NCYSA or TBSC not scheduling the team for the upcoming season. There may be significant fines levied against the team and TBSC for late registration.

Following June 1st, the soccer directors may start placing new players on teams.

Coaches: It is your responsibility to get your returning teams registered by June 1st. The online registration system will make player registration a quick and painless process. All returning player registration forms and payments can be processed in a single online transaction that should take less than ten minutes.

New Player Registration:

New players will use the online registration system. However, WYSA rules require TBSC to collect a copy of the players certified birth certificate before making them eligible to play. New players will need to mail a copy of their birth certificate to TBSC before they are eligible to be placed on a team.

All new player registrations will be given a pending status until TBSC has received a copy of the players birth certificate. Once we have received a player's birth certificate, the player will be placed on a team. When possible, the soccer directors will honor player requests to be placed on a specific team or with friends.

Coach and Team Manager Registration:

Do not forget to register yourself and ensure your team parent and assistant coaches register as well.

Coaches, assistant coaches and team parents or team mangers are required to register every season. You can register using the online system. See registration information above.
