The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) is an association governed by Swiss law founded in 1904 and based in Zurich. It has 209 member
associations and its goal, enshrined in its Statutes, is the constant improvement of football, also known as soccer.
The overall governing rules of the game are defined by FIFA. At every level of play, there tend to be modifications to these laws. At each level of play, the rules
that are modified or amended are written in detail. Otherwise, they typically refer to the FIFA Laws of the Game.
TBSC is a member of Washington Youth Soccer (WYS) and North County Youth Soccer Association (NCYSA).
For age groups U8 and above, TBSC will use the
NCYSA Rules of Competition linked below which reference both the WYS and the FIFA laws.
For the U6 and U7 age groups, TBSC will follow the U8 rules defined in the NCYSA Rules of Competition with the exception of the Playing Times. U6 and
U7 playing times will be 4 periods at 8 mins each.
